Jonathan Barry Dixon, M.D.
Jonathan Barry Dixon, M.D., is a family practitioner who has practiced at LifePoint’s Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, since 1991. Prior to that, Dr. Dixon was a resident physician at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky.
Dr. Dixon is a member of the Kentucky Academy of Family Physicians, the Kentucky Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the County Medical Society. He currently is president of Lake Cumberland Medical Associates in Somerset, and he is the immediate past chief of staff at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Dr. Dixon also is company physician for General Electric in Somerset and the founder of Bethesda Clinic for indigent patients in Somerset. He is a board member for the Hal Rogers Boys and Girls Club.
Dr. Dixon earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington and his medical doctorate from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is an inaugural member of LifePoint’s National Physician Advisory Board.
