William J. Jean, M.D.
William J. Jean, M.D., is an inaugural member of LifePoint’s National Physician Advisory Board. He has served as partner at Upper Michigan Cardiology Associates, P.C., in Marquette and staff cardiologist at LifePoint’s Marquette General Hospital (MGH) since 1993. Dr. Jean also served as Chief of Staff at MGH from 2003-2005. He earned his M.D. from Wayne State University in Detroit, and completed a post-graduate internship and residency in internal medicine at the Southwestern Michigan Area Health Education Center in Kalamazoo. He also completed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Wisconsin Medical School’s Sinai Samaritan Medical Center in Milwaukee. Dr. Jean is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, and interventional cardiology.
Dr. Jean is a member of the Wayne State School of Medicine Alumni Association, the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Cardiology. He is a seasoned presenter and has published many articles in respected cardiology journals.
