Rio Grande Urology (RGU). Private practice opportunity with the only group of urologists in the area. Join an existing group with 3 physicians and a NP. Large referral base tha includes most of southern NM. Located in Las Cruces, this practice is part of a larger network comprised of 13 urologists and 4 physician extenders - and is still growing. There is an opportunity for partnership, depending upon performance and the ability to work within a team environment, with a buy-in after a 1 or 2 years. Ancillary income is available to group members. RGU is led by physician-owners via its internal governing board.
Need to be Board Certified or Board Eligible for recent residency graduate. Board Certification is required to become a partner. MD or DO. Visa candidates may be considered. The individual would need to be able to provide the full range of services a general urologist is trained to perform. Robotics would be a plus. Volume of patients seen 30-40 patients/day. Call would be 1:4.
Financial Package: $370,000. Malpractice insurance provided, health insurance, CME allowance, 4 wks of vacation. Lifestyle oriented practice, but be as busy as you like. The need for another physicians is the demand for services exceeds our ability to provide those services. Good payor mix.

Located in the Mesilla Valley of southern New Mexico, Las Cruces is bounded to the west by wide-open desert and to the east by the majestic and beautiful Organ Mountains, which rise abruptly to an altitude of 9,000 feet only 12 miles from Las Cruces. Las Cruces is home to New Mexico State University, with an enrollment of 15,000 and 600 regular faculty members. Las Cruces is host to a number of festivals throughout the year. The Whole Enchilada Festival features the world’s largest enchilada - six feet across. There’s the Renaissance Arts and Crafts Fair, the Southern New Mexico State Fair, the Mesilla Valley Hot Air Balloon Rally, and the Wine and Chile Festival. The town of Hatch, thirty miles away, is home to a world-famous Chile Festival. The historic village of Old Mesilla, just minutes away from Las Cruces, is one of the most historic sites in the Southwest. Famed outlaw Billy the Kid stood trial for murder in the town’s courthouse on the village plaza.
Sitting at an elevation of 3,900 feet above sea level, Las Cruces enjoys an enviable climate year-round, with 350 sunny days annually and less than 10 inches of rain and snow. White Sands National Monument is just 50 miles east of Las Cruces. The magnificent pure white gypsum dunes provide excellent recreational opportunities. Visitors can picnic, “white sand surf,” or just stroll through a portion of the 275-square-mile national park. Ruidoso is a scenic mountain village two hours from Las Cruces. Located in the Lincoln National Forest, Ruidoso is home to the Hubbard Museum of the American West, the Ruidoso Downs Race Track, Ski Apache and the Inn of the Mountain Gods.
